Renowned Ghanaian musician and UTV Commentator, Kwame A Plus has criticized media houses in the country for disseminating falsehood regarding Chef Smith ’s Guinness World Record Achievement.
He made these remarks during UTV’s late night show dubbed ‘United Showbiz where he slammed all media houses including UTV for failing to verify from credible sources prior to publishing such article.
He added that, the media houses are to be blamed and the individual at the centre of the trending fake Cookathon record breaker Chef Smith. According to him, such unconfirmed reports could make more sense had media houses headlined same with the word “alleged”.
Background to the Chef Smith’s Guinness World Record Achievement
Ghanian Chef Ebenezer Smith, caused a stir after he held a press announcement of his achievement of the world’s record holder of the longest cooking marathon.
A couple of minutes later the Guinness World Record came out to debunk the claim made by Ghanaian Chef Ebenezer after frantic efforts from some Ghanaians querying Guinness World Record for confirmation.
The self-acclaimed Chef Smith in a viral video days later after his alleged arrest apologized to Ghanaians and fans for his ‘fake’ presentation of achieving the record title.
