The Ashanti Regional branch of the Progressive School Feeding Caterers Association Ghana has hinted government of a strike action due to non-payment of grant.
The group has threatened to halt operations due to reductions in the approved school feeding grant payments and the non-payment of arrears.
The association asserts that the authorities responsible for the program have not paid the full feeding grant of GH₵ 1.50 per pupil as agreed.
Ghanaians have slammed the government for failing to pay these aggrieved caterers instead prioritizing other projects like the construction of bank of Ghana headquarters which according to many is a misplaced priority.
