How Kwame Dzokoto collapsed on live radio in Tarkwa
Dzokoto was a panellist on the morning show at Owass FM in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality, where he lived. According to GBC, a livestream on the station’s Facebook page showed him struggling for breath while handing a water bottle to another guest.
The camera then shook and the broadcast was cut off. He was rushed to a hospital in Tarkwa, where he was declared dead on arrival.
Kwame Dzokoto had dismissed death rumours weeks earlier
The news comes weeks after images of Dzokoto looking unwell circulated widely on social media.
In September 2026, he publicly dismissed rumours that he had died, telling B.E. TV: “I’m not dead.” In that interview he spoke about his health and said he had undergone surgery abroad with support from businessman Ibrahim Mahama.
