Spain has officially released an updated list of 60 countries whose citizens can enter the country without obtaining a visa before travelling.
The announcement, made through Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, provides greater clarity for tourists, business travellers and visitors planning short trips to the European nation.
The newly published list includes eligible countries from Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania and the Americas. Citizens of these nations can travel to Spain for short stays without first applying for a visa, provided they continue to meet all applicable entry conditions set by Spanish and Schengen authorities.

Among the countries granted visa-free access are Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, New Zealand, the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Israel, the United Arab Emirates and several Caribbean and Pacific island nations. European countries outside the European Union, including Andorra, Monaco and San Marino, also appear on the list.
Spanish authorities noted that the publication is intended to help travellers determine whether they need a visa before making travel arrangements. Officials encourage prospective visitors to verify the latest entry requirements before departure, as immigration policies and international agreements may change over time.
While nationals of the 60 listed countries can enjoy visa-free entry for eligible short visits, Spain maintains a separate list of countries whose citizens must still obtain a visa before entering the country. Travellers who require visas are advised to complete the necessary application process well in advance of their planned travel dates.
In addition to visa requirements, all visitors may still be asked to present a valid passport, proof of accommodation, evidence of sufficient financial means and a return or onward ticket when arriving at Spain’s borders. Meeting these conditions remains essential even for travellers from visa-exempt countries.
The updated visa-free country list reflects Spain’s ongoing efforts to make travel information more accessible while ensuring compliance with Schengen border regulations. Travellers are encouraged to consult official government sources before booking flights to confirm that the latest entry rules apply to their nationality.
