This update, as conveyed in a statement dated September 28, 2023, allows Ghanaian nationals the convenience of applying for South African visas through an online platform, eliminating the need for physical visits to the High Commission.
According to the statement, interested applicants from Ghana are encouraged to access essential visa application information by visiting the official website www.dha.gov.za.

The application process will involve the standard requirements, including passport details, a letter of invitation or proof of accommodation, and a bank statement.
These documents will undergo verification upon the applicant’s arrival at the designated entry point.
Additionally, the South African High Commission has extended a reminder to individuals whose passports have been held at the High Commission for an extended period, exceeding three months, to collect their passports promptly from the VFS Global Office.
This move aims to streamline administrative processes and ensure the timely return of passports to their rightful owners.
