The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is set to unveil a comprehensive three-part investigative documentary shedding light on the alleged sexual transgressions and misconduct attributed to the late Pastor Temitope Balogun Joshua, commonly known as TB Joshua, who passed away on June 5, 2021
Scheduled for release on January 8, the documentary is the result of interviews with over 30 former members and employees of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).
Within the documentary’s segments, a disturbing narrative unfolds, exposing the clandestine lifestyle of the deceased SCOAN founder. The revelations encompass instances of abuse, harassment, rape, manipulation, and orchestrated miracles. According to sources, despite being aware of these allegations, the church allegedly refrained from conducting any investigations, allowing the reported sexual crimes to persist for over two decades.

A particular focus of the documentary sheds light on how SCOAN purportedly concealed the truth from its congregation regarding the collapse of one of its guesthouses in 2014. Members were shown a video on Emmanuel TV depicting the incident with an aircraft flying overhead, concealing the structural issues that led to the collapse. SCOAN, located in the Ikotun-Egbe area of Lagos State, evolved from a local church into a multimillion-dollar establishment with a global following.
Emmanuel, a former SCOAN worker interviewed by the BBC, contradicted the narrative presented by the church. He asserted that the depiction of an aircraft was false and revealed a structural defect in the building. Rae, a British woman and former disciple of the church, supported this claim, adding that despite professional advice against it, Joshua insisted on raising the building with an inadequate foundation for its constructed floors. These revelations form the unsettling core of the documentary, challenging the public perception of TB Joshua and SCOAN.
