Patrick Kumor, the former Municipal Chief Executive Officer of Weija-Gbawe, has passed away following a brief illness.
He was among the group of 25 MCEs whose appointments were recently terminated by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Ghanaians however have grumbled about the recent passing of Political individuals describing it as worrying and gradually gaining root in the country.

Michael Danquah has since taken over Kumor’s role as the new Municipal Chief Executive. During his time in office, Kumor was known for initiating various projects aimed at improving the Municipality.
Kumor received recognition for his leadership achievements when he was awarded the UCIA 2022 Dynamic Achievers Award for Excellence in Leadership in December 2022.
The award was presented to Kumor at the British Council Hall by the Global Executive College (GEC), acknowledging his significant contributions to the Weija-Gbawe community.
