Actress Martha Ankomah has taken legal action against well-known Kumawood actor, Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, over alleged disparaging remarks made against her.
The controversy stemmed from a viral video where Lil Win was captured making derogatory comments about Martha Ankomah, purportedly accusing her of expressing disdain for Kumawood productions to director Frank Fiifi Gharbin.
Expressing his discontent in the video, Lil Win not only rebuked Martha but also belittled her stature within the film industry.

Following the incident, Lil Win has been served with a directive to appear before the court within eight days. Failure to comply may result in judgment being passed in his absence, without further notice.
Martha Ankomah’s legal recourse materialized through a defamation suit filed at the Accra High Court on February 14. She seeks restitution amounting to GH¢5 million in damages, alongside a public apology and retraction of the defamatory statements with commensurate visibility.
The lawsuit underscores Martha’s pursuit of GH¢5 million in compensation for the harm inflicted by the defendant’s defamatory remarks. Furthermore, she seeks compensatory damages to mitigate the tarnishing of her reputation and aggravated damages, citing the deliberate and malicious nature of the statements.
Additionally, Martha seeks a court order compelling Lil Win to issue a public apology and retract the disparaging remarks with equivalent prominence as their initial dissemination.
