So, guess what? Diamond Michelle Gbagonah a Ghanaian artist popularly known as Michy, is thinking about jumping into politics as she keeps her music career alive
She spilled the beans on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, saying she’s not only grooving to the tunes but also hitting the books to make her political dreams come true.
Now, if you’re wondering how long she’s gonna stick around the music scene, Michy, who just dropped a fresh track, spilled the tea, saying, she’s got big plans, peeps. That’s why she’s hitting the school benches now. She hinted that she’s got a bunch of goals for the future, and being real, she ain’t gonna be strumming her guitar in her 40s and 50s. Politics might be her next jam!
I do have goals that is why I am going to school now. I have several goals in the future and it wouldn’t include doing this [music] for my 40s, my 50s. Hopefully we can go into politics.
And speaking of politics, Michy spilled the beans on why she’s got her eyes set on that gig. She straight up said,
That’s literally the best job in Ghana at the moment,” she told the host Kwame Dadzie.
It gives a you a certain status in society that opens doors for you, that might not be open to anyone. So it’s for the status, and the opportunity to help other people, Michy further stated.
Now, get this: Remember Shatta Wale? Yep, Michy’s ex-beau from the dancehall scene. Well, she’s eyeing a seat in Parliament when the stars align for her political journey.
Oh, and here’s some extra heartwarming stuff – Michy’s not just all talk. She’s got this awesome thing going where she makes sure around eighty little champs in her neighborhood are well-fed every single week. Now that’s some real community love, isn’t it?
And while she’s out there chasing her political dreams, Michy’s still keeping her musical mojo alive and kicking. She’s dropped a fresh track titled ‘Hustle’. So, keep those speakers thumping and root for Michy as she takes on new adventures!
