Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has petitioned the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) with the controversial $34.9 million ambulance spare scandal allegedly involving Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, and the said petition has been confirmed by Kissi Agyebeng, Ghana’s Special Prosecutor.

The lawmaker took to his X handle to announce that the OSP has confirmed receipt of the US$34.9million Ambulance Spare Parts Scandal and that “they will do anything in their power to stop power to stop the imminent payment of US$24.9million after Ken Ofori-Atta ordered the release of US$10million to that shady company with presidential familial ties”

The Special Prosecutor has formally acknowledged my complaint on the US$34.9million Ambulance Spare Parts Scandal.

 

Let’s see how things go from here. We shall do everything in our power to stop the imminent payment of US$24.9million after Ken Ofori-Atta ordered the release of US$10million to that shady company with presidential familial ties.

The Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, following confirmation of receipt mentioned in a press statement hinted that an investigation will commence into the matter should he determine that the case is within the mandate of his office.

Ghanaians at large have slammed the ruling political party and President Akufo Addo for going contrary his pledge to protect the public purse as many scandals have surfaced in which most  his officials and relatives allegedly implicated.
