The newly elected president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has outlined his intentions for his first 120 days after being sworn in power.
He has formed a social contract for Ghanaians which lists a number of things he intends to do during the 120 days period. Many have praised this move by the president-elect of the Republic of Ghana as one that will pivot his administration to success in a short run as Ghanaians await his strategies to revamp the ailing economy.
This includes the appointment of cabinet ministers, scrubbing of taxes, drafting of legal amendments and implementation of policies, ban on illegal mining and reopening of major unresolved criminal cases.
The aforementioned certainly indicates how determined the NDC government is to begin work after swearing in and the willingness to perform as they promised Ghanaians.
