The fee revision aligns with the Fees and Charges (Miscellaneous Provision Regulations) 2023 (L.I. 2481) and aims to ensure sustainable and efficient services to the public. For first-time registration at the NIA’s premium center, the cost will be GHS310, while registration remains free at district offices. Ghana card replacements will cost GHS420 at the premium center and GHS125 at regional or district offices.

The fee adjustment is intended to guarantee that the NIA’s operations are financially supported, allowing for the continued provision of quality services. By revising the fees, the authority aims to cover operational costs and maintain the sustainability of its work.

The NIA remains committed to safeguarding the security and dependability of the Ghana card. The implementation of the updated fees is part of the effort to strengthen these essential services and improve the overall identification system, the authority stressed as Ghanaians brace for the upward adjustments in the fees.
