Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) to embark on an indefinite strike action beginning December 31, 2024 over unresolved demands from the Government of Ghana.
This declaration follows an emergency meeting held by CETAG’ s National Council on Friday, December 20, 2024 over government’s failure to execute agreements from prior negotiations.

In a recent statement dated Monday, December 23, 2024, CETAG expressed exasperation with regards to the situation at hand while hinting on all the promises government consented to. The Union condemns government for turning a blind eye to its own promises which has deeply affected the welfare of members and education in general.
Nonetheless, CETAG is committed to resume it industrial strike action after suspending it on August 20, 2024 and calls on stakeholders to intervene immediately to ensure that their demands are met to prevent further disruption of academic calendar.
