Danita Akosua Adomaah Yeboah, popularly known as Afronita, was born on November 30, 2003, at the Lakeside Clinic in Accra, Ghana. Growing up in Kokomlemle, she later moved to the Airport Residential Area with her family at the age of 14. Afronita hails from Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana and is of the Fante tribe. She is the eldest of three children, with a brother named Elvis Yeboah and a sister named Nhyira Yeboah. Her mother is a former teacher, and her father is a computer specialist.

Afronita’s educational journey began at Ridge Church School in Accra, where she completed her Junior High education. She then attended Wesley Girls’ Senior High School in the Central Region, majoring in Business. Currently, she is pursuing a degree in Business Administration at the University of Ghana, Legon. She is currently in level 300.
Dance Career of Afronita
Afronita’s passion for dance was evident from a young age. Her serious commitment to dancing began in Junior High School (JHS 1), where she frequently watched dance videos on YouTube and practiced them at home. During her final year in junior high, she met her role model, Dancegod Lloyd, who introduced her to the Dance With Purpose (DWP) Academy.
At the age of 14, Afronita joined the DWP Academy in 2018. Her dedication and consistency quickly propelled her to become one of Ghana’s top female dancers. She has been featured in prominent magazines such as Skygirls, Touch Beam, and Discovery Teens. Additionally, Afronita has appeared in movies like “Sugar,” “Leg Work,” and “Spice and Sauce 3,” and danced in music videos for well-known Ghanaian musicians like Dope Nation.
Apart from her dance performances, Afronita also shares her expertise as a dance teacher, organizing online classes for beginners. In January 2024, she left the DWP Academy and transitioned to an independent career as a brand influencer.
