The National President of the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG), Emmanuel Owusu, has expressed enthusiasm for the 24-hour economy proposal introduced by National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama.
Mr. Owusu opines that there is great potential in the policy, envisioning a transformative impact on Ghana’s market dynamics and overall economic development, as it also going to pave employment opportunities for the young populace in the country.

The proposal which aims to allow certain businesses and companies to operate continuously throughout the day, will boost productivity, enhance competitiveness, and generate job opportunities.
Owusu shared his perspective during the unveiling of the GRASAG research report on “The 24-Hour Economy,” hoping that the recommendations in the report would be considered if Mahama returns to office.
Owusu emphasized the transformative impact the 24-hour economy could have on information technology and internet access, crucial components for the digital world. He believes the policy would drive innovation, improve service delivery, stimulate sustainable growth, and position Ghana as a global economic competitor.

For prospects which in a way I’ve mentioned, it will also have some impact on information technology and now we are in a digital world and most of the things we do are driven by information technology and of course, once you are implementing a 24-hour economy, it will require that you improve the internet access. He remarked.
