Ghanaian entrepreneur Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Freedom Jacob Caesar (Cheddar), has criticized political leaders for failing to adequately invest in the people, highlighting this as the primary reason for the nation’s slow progress.
Speaking in an interview, he emphasized the lack of robust investments in critical areas like education and industrial development. “He stressed that the leaders have had ample opportunities to create a middle-income nation but have instead left the people in economic hardship.
Cheddar argued that the limited focus on empowering citizens through education and skill-building has resulted in widespread unemployment and poverty. He pointed out that the wealth of natural resources in Ghana has not been properly harnessed to benefit its people.
“We have gold, oil, and other resources, but where are the job opportunities and better living conditions for the ordinary Ghanaian?” he asked, stressing the urgent need for systemic change.
As part of his call for a new direction, Cheddar advocated for leadership that prioritizes sustainable development and empowers the youth. He explained that the youth are the future of this country, but they’ve been sidelined for far too long. It’s time to make bold investments in them to transform our nation. He encouraged Ghanaians to focus on leaders who present innovative and actionable plans for development rather than settling for the status quo.
Nana Kwame Bediako Freedom Jacob Caesar ‘s (Cheddar) Remarks
I have discovered more poverty, pain, struggle, pollution, no hope with this trip and I have realized that our leaders haven’t invested in the people and the constituencies,” he mentioned.
Tonight, I want to tell everyone who is listening to me that I have had the opportunity to travel around Ghana and I have had the chance to see what we live for and how bad we have treated our people and that did not bring me down but rather it inspired me and made me realize we have work to do, he added.
