Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, leader of the New Force political movement, faced an unexpected setback when he was sacked by the Chief of Drobonso in the Sekyere Afram for failing to observe traditional protocols prior to his campaign durbar in the town.
The viral video from EDHUB tweeted by GhanaTrends on X captured the chief expressing his disappointment in the political leader of the New Force. He further queried the New Force, Cheddar about owning a community or not.
The incident occurred after Cheddar organized a campaign durbar in the town without first visiting the chief’s palace to pay his respects and seek permission, a customary practice in many Ghanaian communities.
The Chief of Drobonso expressed his displeasure over the oversight, emphasizing the importance of honoring local customs and traditions, particularly when engaging with the community. As a result, Nana Kwame Bediako and his team were asked to leave, disrupting the scheduled campaign activities.
