The leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Reverend Isaac Owusu-Bempah, vehemently denies recent reports suggesting that he prophesied Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s anointment to aid the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in breaking the 8 to retain power

Contrary to circulating claims, Owusu-Bempah clarifies that there is no prophecy from him indicating Dr Bawumia as the preferred NPP flagbearer.

Addressing the issue, Owusu-Bempah expresses concern over the spread of misinformation by individuals purportedly campaigning for Vice President Bawumia. He refutes any assertion that he has publicly declared Dr Bawumia as the chosen candidate destined to lead the NPP, emphasizing that no such statement has been made in his church or any other platform.

Some are going about saying that I, Rev Owusu-Bempah says that God has chosen Dr Bawumia to come and lead the NPP, and that he is the rightful candidate to help the NPP break the 8.

They claim I, Owusu-Bempah gave that prophecy. I plead with everyone watching me, I know the media is recording this and the whole Ghana is watching me. I have not made such statement anywhere. I’ve not said it in my church or anywhere.

So if you watch YouTube and see some people having such discussions that I made such prophecy to President Akufo-Addo that they should bring Dr Bawumia to lead the NPP and help break the 8, it is not true, he said.

In a plea broadcasted for public clarity, Reverend Owusu-Bempah underscores the importance of accurate information, especially in the era of digital media. He urges viewers to be cautious when encountering discussions on platforms like YouTube, discrediting any purported discussions or prophecies linking him to President Akufo-Addo and the endorsement of Dr Bawumia for the NPP’s leadership.

The denial by Owusu-Bempah sheds light on the potential consequences of misinformation and the impact it can have on political narratives. This clarification aims to set the record straight and prevent the spread of unfounded claims, ensuring that the public receives accurate information regarding the religious leader’s statements and prophecies.
