The New Patriotic Party (NPP) leadership has sacked Hopesen Adorye, Yaw Buaben Asamoa, Nana Ohene Ntow, and Boniface Abubakar Saddique, who according to the party endorsed a candidate publicly other than the duly elected Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia
In a statement released by the party and signed by the general secretary, the above mentioned individual are said to automatically forfeited their membership for endorsing a different candidate as enshrined in the Party’s Constitution.

Many reports indicate that these party members endorsed and declared their support for Mr. Alan Kyeremanten who parted ways with the party and formed new political party to compete in the upcoming general elections in 2024.
Despite the clear violation of the Party’s Constitution, specifically Articles 3(5) (A)(4) and 3(9)(i), these individuals continue to identify themselves as members of the NPP.
Article 3(5) (A) (4) emphasizes the obligation of all Party members to “abide by and publicly uphold the decisions of the Party,” while Article 3(9) (1) states that supporting another political entity results in automatic forfeiture of Party membership.
In accordance with these constitutional provisions, the NPP asserts that Hopeson Adorye, Nana Ohene Ntow, Boniface Abubakar Saddique, and Yaw Buaben Asamoa have forfeited their membership in the Party. As a result, they are no longer recognized as members of the NPP.
The NPP encourages its members to adhere to their responsibilities outlined in Article 3(5) of the party Constitution. Additionally, the party calls upon its members to stay focused on the collective goal of uniting party ranks and garnering support from Ghanaians to achieve victory in the 2024 general elections.
