The manifesto, titled “The 12 Pillars to Economic Freedom, was unveiled during a livestream that began at 7:30 PM by the New Force Leader, Nana Kwame Bediako (Cheddar) gaining traction from Ghanaians.
The manifesto was described by the New Force Movement as a visionary document, laying out a comprehensive plan aimed at bringing prosperity, creating opportunities, and ensuring a bright future for all Ghanaians. This event marked a significant moment in Nana Kwame Bediako’s campaign, as he sought to outline his key policies and vision for the country.
Although Mr. Bediako was unable to register the New Force Movement as an official political party in time for the December 7 election, he announced his intention to file his nomination with the Electoral Commission as an independent candidate. This decision was made after delays in obtaining the necessary approval from the Electoral Commission to form a political party, which would have left little time for effective campaigning.
Earlier this year, Bediako, also known as “Cheddar,” revealed that his ambition to become President of Ghana was driven by what he described as a divine calling. Despite his limited experience in politics, he was guided by a strong conviction that this was his path, just as he had been guided in other aspects of his life.
The livestream drew significant attention as Bediako outlined his 12 Pillars of Economic Freedom and shared his vision for the future of Ghana.
He emphasized that multinational companies extracting Ghana’s mineral resources would not pay taxes in cash. Instead, 30 percent of the mineral resources extracted would be taken to help increase the country’s reserves.
Nana Kwame Bediako also questioned the need to print money abroad, stating, “Why did we have to go to England, or go to Switzerland, De La Rue to print our money? We were going to print our own money.”
