Zahara, celebrated for her chart-topping 2011 album “Loliwe,” which gained immense popularity throughout Africa, breathed her last at the age of 36 in a Johannesburg hospital on Monday night.
The artist, who had battled alcohol addiction, had been under medical care due to reported liver complications. The government had been providing support to Zahara’s family during this challenging period.
