Otto Addo faces a bittersweet transition from his role at Borussia Dortmund to his permanent position as the head coach of the Black Stars.
Having served as a talent coach for Dortmund since 2020, Addo will part ways with the German club mutually in the summer to fully dedicate himself to his new responsibilities with the Ghanaian national team.

Addo’s return to Ghana marks his second stint with the national team, following his successful guidance of the Black Stars to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar during his initial tenure. His extensive career with Dortmund spans six seasons, during which he also represented Ghana as a player. Additionally, he played for Hannover, Mainz, and VfL Hamburg before retiring from professional football in 2008.
