The new mix by Aligata has become the hit song of the week with highly trending skits on TikTok and other social media platforms.
Most Ghanaians have had the old song resonated with them after the remake by Aligata which he titled ‘Alomo Gyata’ with the slick voice and enticing lyrics.
The song which has been used for many skits and dance challenges have been shared uncountable times but many Ghanaians are yet to meet the man behind this trending song.
Meet Aligata, The Man Behind The Remake of Noble Adu Kwasi’s ‘Akwankwaa Hiani’
The artiste whose name is given as Aligata, has not been in the limelight since the song started trending and many have said that he may be hiding his identity to avert any issue of copyright for making an unauthorized’ remix of an old song.
He is believed to be reggae, dancehall and afrobeats musician and according to him has been releasing freestyles and his own songs over the years when interviewed on Metro TV.
Aligata is also the voice behind ‘Gbemiwaa’, a freestyle of Stonebwoy’s ‘Gidigba’ which was made to reflect the poor state of the Ghanaian economy.
