Armed robbers have attacked a gold dealer at Wassa Dompoase in the Amenfi East Municipality of the Western Region.
The bloody incident left residents shocked as about seven armed robbers attacked a gold buyer’s shop and made away with two sacks of money and gold.
According to reports from eye-witnesses, the armed men rushed into the Humble Gold Buying Enterprise around 1 p.m, where three shopkeepers were present.
A shopkeeper was shot twice and is currently in critical condition at the hospital. The shopkeeper was suspected of having the keys but reports are that he denied of having the keys in possession.
The men, armed with guns and knives, demanded the keys to unlock the safe where money and gold were kept and made away with undisclosed amounts of money and gold.
The other two shopkeepers also sustained injuries as the police are still on a manhunt to apprehend the suspects involved in the incident.
