President Akufo-Addo Supports Release of the Late President Atta Mills’ Autopsy Report After 11 Years

President Akufo Addo Supports Release of The Late President Atta Mills autopsy report

President Akufo-Addo is endorsing the call for the late John Atta Mills’ autopsy report to be officially documented in public records, addressing questions during a visit by the Odomaa Clan of Ekumfi and Koku Anyidoho at the Jubilee House.

The visit aimed to express gratitude for the government’s renovation of Asomdwoe Park, the burial site of the late President Mills.

During the visit, Nana Enyimfua III, Kyedomhene of Ekumfi Asaman, urged the presidency to facilitate the release of the autopsy report, emphasizing that 11 years have passed since Prof Atta Mills’ death on July 24, 2012, and the family is still unaware of the cause of death.

However, Samuel Atta Mills, the late President’s brother and Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem MP, has urged the public to disregard this call. He contends that the autopsy report is available and dismisses it as part of a broader scheme by Koku Anyidoho to mislead Ghanaians.

This development raises questions about the transparency surrounding the autopsy report and highlights differing opinions within the late President’s family regarding its accessibility and release. The push for transparency regarding the cause of Prof Atta Mills’ death resonates after more than a decade, reflecting the ongoing significance of this issue in Ghanaian public discourse.

Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem MP, opines that the report is available adding that this forms part of a broad scheme by Koku Anyidoho to deceive Ghanaians.

Go to the AMA, they have a copy of the autopsy report, they gave as the burial certificate. Go to 37 military Hospital, there is a copy of the autopsy report over there. Those who perform the autopsies are still alive. I am not the one to give them a copy of it. By the way, who are these imposter family members? how are they related to us? he opined speaking on Joy FM’s Midday News.
