A cocoa buyer and Assemblyman for Kyekyerwere East, Hon. Kwabena Boateng, has allegedly killed two individual who reportedly attempted to steal his cocoa.
The two individuals are a 16-year-old and a 20-year-old men who entered his shop in Dunkwa Kyekyerwere in the Central Region to allegedly steal some of his cocoa.
Hon. Kwabena Boateng narrates that, he had been on high alert due to the theft that has robbed him of about 35 bags of cocoa from his shop. and as at around 2 a.m he had to prepare for a robbery.
While at shop, he saw three suspects trying to break in. When they attempted to escape upon realizing his presence, he fired in their direction, hitting two of the suspects while the third escaped, he narrated leaving one of the victims succumbing to his gunshot wounds and the other dying upon arrival at the hospital. the third thief he said fled the scene.
Mr. Kwabena Boateng is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation.
