Former Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Charlotte Osei, has expressed discontent with New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko for drawing her into his ongoing dispute with the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa.

The feud centers around the ownership of the property housing Asaase Broadcasting Company Limited, a media house linked to Gabby. Osei is upset over Gabby’s attempt to involve her in a matter unrelated to her, raising concerns about the politicization of her role in the controversy.

The dispute erupted after Ablakwa alleged that the Asaase property was part of a legal case involving the Judicial Service of Ghana and the government. However, Gabby countered the claim by referring to a statement from the Lands Commission, which clarified that the property was not part of the suit. In an attempt to discredit Ablakwa’s exposés on “state capture,” Gabby made an unprovoked mention of Charlotte Osei, accusing her of benefiting from property sales conducted under Ablakwa’s party.

Gabby specifically pointed to a property opposite Asaase Radio, claiming it had been sold off and is now occupied by Osei. His comments have fueled political tension, with many viewing the statement as an attempt to divert attention from the actual issues at hand. Osei has responded sharply, condemning Gabby for dragging her into a politically charged debate in which she has no involvement.

Charlotte Osei Responds to Goes Gabby Otchere Darko for Involving Her in Political Feud with Okudzeto Ablakwa

Rich of you to complain about being lied on and yet tell blatant lies about another person. Pls sue

@S_OkudzetoAblak. I would love to do the same.

I have NEVER benefitted from public lands. Do some search and find out I bought my land in a commercial transaction in 2007.

Stop the lies @GabbyDarko and stop dragging me into your nonsense. You know the truth. Stop this. It is unfair and you know it, she remarked.
