Remembering the Legacy of Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah
In May 2021, Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah faced a surprising turn when relieved of her position as the National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme. The Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection requested her to hand over any official documents or property in her custody without specifying a reason in the letter dated May 18, 2021. Interestingly, President Nana Addo Dankwa-Akufo-Addo later overturned this decision, reinstating her to her crucial role.
Despite the challenges, Mrs. Quashigah’s dedication and contributions to the Ghanaian food industry and the School Feeding Programme remain commendable, leaving behind a lasting legacy that extends beyond her time. As we reflect on her impactful journey, let us appreciate the positive transformations she initiated and the lives she touched.
