Manchester United’s defensive stalwart, Harry Maguire, has invited Member of Parliament, Isaac Adongo to Old Trafford after accepting an apology from the MP

In a widely circulated video emanating from JoySports featuring Ghanaian MP, Mr Adongo extended a formal apology amid Maguire’s commendable recent performances recounting past comparisons of Maguire’s ‘poor’ performances to the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Bawumia

Adongo, representing Bolgatanga Central, took to the parliamentary floor on Tuesday, November 21, expressing regret for a prior comparison that linked Maguire’s on-field struggles to Ghana’s Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, citing both as underperformers.

Today, Maguire has turned the corner and is a transformational footballer he further stated in praising Maguire.

During Maguire’s earlier struggles with the Red Devils, Adongo drew parallels between the footballer and the Vice President, implying that both were contributing to unfavorable outcomes.

This drew attention as Maguire faced criticism for underwhelming performances, including scoring own goals that seemingly benefited opponents. The comparison alluded to the economic challenges faced by Ghana under Dr Bawumia’s oversight, adding a layer of complexity to the critique.

In response to the now-viral video, Maguire graciously accepted Adongo’s apology. The Manchester United central defender conveyed his acceptance through a post on ‘X’, expressing appreciation for the MP’s gesture and signaling a positive interaction in the future.

Maguire’s succinct response,

“MP Issac Adongo apology accepted. See you at Old Trafford soon,”

demonstrates his willingness to move past the incident and maintain a cordial relationship.
