Regrettably, one person has been confirmed dead, and another is critically injured as a consequence of this tragic event.
An eyewitness recounted that the driver lost control of the vehicle due to a brake pad malfunction, leading to the devastating crash.
Emergency response teams, including fire service and police officers, are actively engaged at the scene, addressing the aftermath of the accident.
According to the eyewitness, the accident was met with an immediate response and injured persons were rushed to the hospital.
Reports have it that injured persons were rescued highlighting a woman selling rice nearby who sustained leg injuries.
Despite their prompt intervention, another individual, a kenkey seller, lost her life in the tragic event.
Some challenges however faced during the rescue operation, notably the intervention of a police officer attempting to hinder their efforts to save the trapped individuals. Despite this obstacle, they managed to lift the vehicle using a jack to extract the victims.
