Addressing the audience during the second installment of the ‘Accounting to the People’ initiative, Dr. Braimah emphasized the competence of the company’s officials, asserting their capability to effectively manage this state-owned institution.
Amidst circulating reports in both traditional and social media, Dr. Braimah urged the public to dismiss these claims. He clarified that the company is undergoing structural changes in accordance with company law. However, he assured Ghanaians that, in due time, they will be transparent about these changes, providing a comprehensive update on the company’s evolution.
Touching on the workforce, Dr. Braimah disclosed that the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) currently employs 5,438 staff members. Within this workforce, he highlighted that 2,000 individuals have received promotions at various levels.
These promotions are attributed to the employees’ qualifications and their adherence to the established processes governing advancements within the organization. This information offers a glimpse into the positive developments within the company’s human resources landscape.
