Assin North MP and flagbearer hopeful for the New Patriotic Party Kennedy Ohene Agyapong opines that Alan Kyeremanten deserves to be flagbearer of the NPP in the upcoming 2024 general elections

According to Kennedy Agyapong, the former Trade Minister has toiled enough for the party and thus deserves to lead the party.

He made these remarks when speaking on Sompa FM in the Ashanti regional capital Kumasi, where he surprisingly expounded reasons why his competitor in the flagbearership race, Mr Kyerematen deserves to be the flagbearer.

He went further to disclose that Mr. Alan Kyeremanten has been with the party since inception and worked tirelessly during his tenure as president of the Young Executives Forum (YEF).

In his submission, the MP seemed to have disregarded the efforts of all other aspirants including the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Yes, if Alan says it’s his turn, he deserves it because he has been in the trenches with the party from its inception as the president of the Young Executives Forum (YEF) which was the financial wing of the NP in the early days,

Where were all these small boys who have been insulting Alan, when he was in the trenches working for the NPP,  Mr Agyapong noted.

The former trade minister resigned to focus on his presidential ambitions and campaign and had since been active on his campaign activities.

Ghanaian economy has dwindled heavily in all sectors and economic indicators are yet to show positive signs as government is still in talks with the IMF and key European partners.
