Delegates representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) cast their votes on December 2, 2023, in the parliamentary primary elections for orphan constituencies set for the 2024 elections

Spanning 111 constituencies nationwide, the primaries were orchestrated by the party, commencing at 7 am and concluding at 2 pm at various polling stations

One noteworthy contest unfolded in the Kpandai constituency, where Richard Nyamah, a seasoned political figure, faced a formidable challenge from Matthew Nyindam. The campaign leading up to the elections witnessed an intense effort from both candidates as they tirelessly traversed the constituency, addressing crowds, and articulating their visions for the region. In the end, Nyamah secured 60 votes, while Nyindam emerged victorious with an impressive 682 votes.

Meanwhile, in the Ledzorkuku constituency, the Chief Executive of the National Health Insurance Authority, Bernard Okoe Boye, clinched victory in the primary by polling 901 votes. His contenders, Nii Ashitey Ollennu and Ibrahim Adjei, secured 357 and 180 votes, respectively, in the closely watched race.

In the Adentan Constituency, the spotlight fell on Akosua Manu, popularly known as Kozie, who garnered 814 votes, surpassing Kwasi Fosu with 638 votes and Winifred Nartey with 18 votes. Additionally, the Awutu Senya West parliamentary primary saw Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the Jubilee House, emerge triumphant with 862 votes, while his contender, Kofi Opei Okai, received 119 votes.
