Reports have emerged of a tragic incident involving Osei Akoto, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communications team in Asante Mampong, who was reportedly stabbed to death by wife.
The shocking discovery was made when Mr. Osei Akoto was found in a pool of blood following a disagreement with his wife on Thursday night. According to residents familiar with the couple, tensions had been escalating between Akoto and his wife for some time prior to the unfortunate incident.

TV3’s Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Ibrahim Abubakar, reported that the wife admitted to stabbing her husband but claimed that it was not her intention to cause his death, alleging that she acted in self-defense, citing instances of abuse by her husband, including the night of the incident when she took up a knife to protect herself.
Amidst the ongoing investigation, the police are probing the circumstances surrounding Osei Akoto’s tragic death. Meanwhile, the NDC has expressed its condolences and stated that it awaits the findings of the police investigation.
