The President highlighted key successes in 2025, including a sharp reduction in inflation to near single-digit levels, relative currency stability, and growth in critical sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and construction. He noted ongoing road rehabilitation across thousands of kilometres, consistent electricity supply, and expanded rural electrification, while pledging continued prudent management to sustain these gains.

On governance and leadership, President Mahama committed to implementing constitutional reforms, intensifying the fight against corruption without “sacred cows,” and promoting accountability. He called on public servants to serve with integrity, civil society to hold government accountable, and traditional leaders to foster moral values and social cohesion.

A strong theme of national unity ran through the address, with the President urging Ghanaians to reject divisive politics and embrace patriotism. “We are one people with a shared destiny… There is only one Ghana,” he stressed, appealing to citizens regardless of political affiliation to collaborate in nation-building.

Looking to 2026, President Mahama outlined priorities including universal healthcare, digital education, food self-sufficiency through agricultural mechanisation, affordable housing, renewable energy expansion, and job creation for youth. He encouraged young people to lead today, entrepreneurs to invest boldly, and the diaspora to contribute skills and resources, ending with an optimistic call for collective effort toward a prosperous, inclusive Ghana.
