The National Communications Authority (NCA) has granted approval to Elon Musk’s Satellite Broadband Services SpaceX Starlink in Ghana sparking massive excitement among Ghanaians.
This follows the policy approval of the Satellite Licensing Framework in Ghana by the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation.
Starlink’s network consists of low-Earth orbit satellites that deliver high-speed broadband internet services by transmitting signals between satellites and ground stations.

While Starlink GH LTD is not yet licensed in Ghana, the NCA has issued a statement indicating that the licensing process is underway and will be finalized soon.
SpaceX’s Starlink is already operational in seven other African countries, including Mozambique, Eswatini, Zambia, Malawi, Kenya, Rwanda, and Nigeria, making Ghana the eighth African country to approve its operations.
