The singing marathon, which began at midnight on December 24, 2023, and concluded on the morning of December 29, 2023, marked a five-day endeavor for Asantewaa.
Addressing her supporters after receiving necessary medical attention behind a stage screen, she disclosed that she had lost track of time during this marathon effort.
Asantewaa expressed her hope that this remarkable achievement would serve as an inspiration, particularly for women and youth across the country.
She conveyed deep gratitude for the support received from various quarters, including musicians, politicians, and security officials, who backed her throughout the marathon, held at the Akwaaba Village in Accra.
To celebrate and share her joy with the community, Asantewaa is gearing up to host an all-white Thanksgiving event at 6 pm on Friday, at the same venue where the record-breaking singing marathon took place.
This event promises to be a fitting culmination of the remarkable accomplishment and a testament to Asantewaa’s dedication and talent.
