President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo snubs Kennedy Agyapong and Alan in a viral video as attended the laying in state and funeral of veteran broadcaster Kwabena Kwakye, also known as Wofa KK.
The event took that took place at the forecourt of the State House saw NPP, other bigwigs and high-ranking government officials and members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in attendance.
The funeral was held in honor of Kwabena Kwakye, a well-respected broadcaster at Oman 107.1FM, part of Kencity Media in Accra, who passed away in mid-February 2024.
The president arrived as the final government official before formal proceedings began and was greeted by NPP General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong before being ushered into the grounds.
Notably, the president’s conduct during the event garnered attention. According to GHBRAIN TV’s coverage, Akufo-Addo seemed to avoid greeting mourners seated in a section reserved for high-profile guests. Among those reportedly snubbed were Kwakye’s employer Kennedy Agyapong, former trade minister Alan Kyerematen, and his wife, along with former energy minister Boakye Agyarko.
