Ms. Abbiussi, prominently featured in the group’s campaign video, faces charges related to allegedly obtaining a student permit through false declaration. The court’s decision to grant bail comes amid heightened attention to the video, which sheds light on the hardships faced by Ghanaians under the Akufo-Addo administration, questioning the effectiveness of leadership in addressing citizens’ concerns.

This morning, Abbiussi was brought to the court accompanied by officers from the National Bureau of Investigations. In response to the charges, she firmly maintained her innocence, pleading not guilty during the court proceedings. Supporters of Abbiussi gathered at the court premises, expressing their stance with placards bearing messages like ‘Justice for Shallie’ among others.
