Black Sherif, a Ghanaian musician, was arrested at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) on the evening of July 19, 2023, following an alleged contractual breach
Reports allege that Black Sherif was taken from the airport to the police headquarters in Accra due to a contractual breach involving a show he failed to fulfill in Greece on July 4.
The 21-year-old artiste, whose real name is Mohammed Ismail Sherif, was currently returning home after performing at prominent music festivals in the US and Europe this summer.
His performances included AfroNation Portugal, Wireless Festival UK, Couleur Cafe Festival in Belgium, SummerJam Festival in Köln, and Openair Frauenfeld in Switzerland, among others where he unleashed thrilling performances that have got Ghanaians and music lovers alike talking.
According to Kofi Adomah, host of Kofi Tv in a Youtube video mentioned an amount of $40,000 in the contractual breach.
We called our sources and it appears it is due to a contractual issue he has to play on a cruise ship in Greece having charged US$40,000 and receiving half of the amount, Kofi Adomah mentioned.
