The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has forced the repatriation of Shalimar Abuissi, the spokesperson for the New Force, after revoking her permit and has repatriated her

This action prompted the state to organize travel arrangements within a tight 24-hour window, leading to her departure on a Brussels-bound flight from Kotoka International Airport at 10 PM on Tuesday.

Francis Xavier, Shalimar’s lawyer, expressed dissatisfaction with this development, asserting that the state has infringed upon her fundamental human rights. He vows to pursue justice for Shalimar Abuissi in response to these alleged violations.

In an unexpected turn of events, the Kaneshie District Court released the Belgian national on Tuesday, as state prosecutors decided to abandon the charge related to obtaining a student permit under false declaration.

Despite this legal victory, Shalimar faced another setback when the Ghana Immigration Service re-arrested her, following the state prosecutors’ decision to drop the charges in court.

The Ghana Immigration Service revealed that Shalimar falsely claimed to be a student at the Ghana Christian University College in her documents. The state, acting on intelligence, uncovered the deceptive nature of this assertion.

Shalimar initially experienced relief when the state prosecutors informed the court about dropping the charges against her. However, this respite proved short-lived as she was swiftly re-arrested. In a brief 20-minute span, she transitioned from a world of freedom to one of restrictions, highlighting the legal complexities surrounding her case.
