Ghanaians have taken to X to express their anger at the running mate of the Dr Bawumia, Dr Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh also known as Napo for disrespecting Former President John Evans Atta Mills in his speech where he addressed the late president as ‘the one that died’.
In a trending video on X, sighted by GhanaTrends, the controversial running mate of the New Patriotic Party’s flag bearer again raised eyebrows when he was mentioning past presidents who have contributed to the development of the nation.
Upon reaching the turn on the late National Democratic Congress’ and former President of Ghana, John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills, Dr Opoku Prempeh addressed him as the one that died sparking fury among Ghanaians and the NDC faithfuls.

Many criticisms have poured in from Ghanaians following his remarks about John Atta Mills as many have dubbed it very disrespectful and insulting. Others have added that his arrogance can only make him unpopular with his party and their chances to win the 2024 general elections.
This comes at the back of a recent controversial remarks he made about the founding father Dr Kwame Nkrumah where he remarked that President Akufo-Addo had performed better than Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
