The minister underscored that President Mahama has set an ambitious goal for the region’s water bodies to be free of pollution by June, signaling a renewed push to tackle environmental damage caused by mining. In a stern warning, the minister made it clear that the Eastern Regional Anti-Galamsey Task Force is prepared to crack down on violators.
