During a fiery interview, Agyapong pointed the finger at an individual he identified as Ansu Gyeabour, claiming this Kumasi-based figure carried out the 2019 assassination that shocked Ghana. The MP’s bold accusation comes with an equally explosive twist: he insists the Ghana Police Service has known the suspect’s identity for years but has failed to act, leaving justice hanging in the balance.
Agyapong’s revelation paints a troubling picture of alleged police inaction, as he recounted being briefed by authorities who even showed him photos of the supposed culprit. According to the parliamentarian, efforts to apprehend Gyeabour have been repeatedly thwarted, with tips from Accra police to their Kumasi counterparts mysteriously tipping off the suspect, allowing him to evade capture.
