John Dramani Mahama has advised the party’s supporters to disregard a list circulating on social media purporting to have some NDC MPs who voted in favour of six ministerial appointees of President Akufo-Addo

The former President made these remarks during his tour of the Ellembelle Constituency in the Western Region on Sunday March 26, 2023 where he spoke to some party delegates.

Former President of Ghana and NDC Presidential hopeful described the list as fake and thus urged his supporters to disregard same.

And so, I am urging all NDC supporters to ignore it, Mr. Mahama said.

In what seemed like a won battle for the National Democratic Congress lawmakers in parliament during a voting between the minority side and the majority side turned out futile for the NDC.

The Ministerial appointees by President Akufo Addo amassed majority of the votes with some members of the opposition apparently and yet covertly voting for these appointees.

Prior to the voting, NDC wing in parliament expressed confidence in clinching more votes even securing some votes from the majority side, but as many have called it- a political game, saw this turned out the opposite direction.

The viral list follows backlash from some NDC members including the former president John Mahama who expressed disappointment in a voting that approved President Akufo Addo’s appointees, with the list bearing some names of NDC members who voted in favour.

He further stated that this is a small battle as compared to the upcoming general elections which the party aims to regain victory.

These are little battles we have to fight before we go into the main battle and that is one of those we fought a few days ago. So, you don’t throw the baby away with the bathwater. I urge you all to remain calm because we need them at this crucial moment

Some Ghanaians have described what transpired in parliament in Akan addage “Kasa y3 Nframa” which is translated to mean talk is cheap and walking the talk is the real deal.
