Former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has won a Global Leadership and Economic Impact Award in the USA from the Liberty University in Virginia.
This Award was in celebration of the formal President for prudent governance, “advocating and achieving a consistent track record on economic development, women’s participation in education, and enhancing economic growth. The award was presented to him following after his presentation at the Official Opening Dinner of the 2nd 500 CEO Summit.
Liberty University, known as the World’s largest Christian university hosted over 600 CEOs, athletes, faith leaders, and political leaders at the 2nd 500 CEO Summit.
The Dean of the School of Business remarked that during Mahama’s governance, Ghana experienced huge infrastructure growth in many sectors of the economy which included health, education, ports and harbours etc.
Dr. Dave Brat in a quote said “”President Mahama was chosen for this award because he demonstrates all of the successful traits of Christian leadership under the greatest pressure and responsibility of governing and being the Chief Executive for a Nation, Ghana.”
Former President Mahama, is regarded by some Ghanaians as being vindicated as the governing party’s comments and accusations reflect recent happenings, in respect of corruption, burdensome taxation, unemployment, inflation, depreciation of the Cedi etc.
With his government officials now in opposition mounting pressure on the ruling party on all economic management areas and seeking to force government to heed to several calls from the populace only point to the fact that Mr. Mahama’s team are well poised to give it another shot in governance.
