Ghana Black Stars to Reach Quarter Finals: 2022 World Cup

ghana black stars to reach quarter finals of 2022 world cup

Bernard Lippert, Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is confident that the Ghana Black Stars have greater chances of  reaching the quarter finals of the upcoming Fifa World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

According to him, the Black Stars have a greater chance of proceeding from the group stages into the quarter finals despite complaints of poor performance by the Ghanaian Team in the friendly match against Brazil.

The Black stars have not really had an outstanding performance in their past matches after coach Otto-Atto onboarded as head coach. Many believe the team have not really improved significantly after poor performance display during coach C.K. Akonnor’s era.

Mr. Lippert told the media he is optimistic about performance improvement which will see the Black Stars through the group stages.

“I think we have a good chance to overcome the group stage. And then everything is possible,” he opined to the media.

“We really can go until the quarter-final. It’s realistic for me.,” he said.

Ghana Black Stars secured a spot in the same group with Portugal, South Korea and its ‘dream killer’ Uruguay who turned all excitements into sadness in the 19th FIFA World Cup competition which took place in South Africa (2010)

Ghana Black Stars are expected to start their tournament against Portugal on November 24 at Stadium 974 in Doha.

The next encounter will be  with South Korea at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan four days later

And the much anticipated game that all Ghanaians cannot wait to see will be a clash with Uruguay at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah. This will be the chance for the Black Stars to have their revenge, however; no amount of goals to clinch a win can heal the wounds of having a closer grip of glory of World Cup Semi Finals being dashed.
