MP Sylvester Tetteh is seen in a trending video seeking safety during protests in Kenya with 4 other MPs reportedly rapped amidst the protests.
Reports indicate that these MPs were in the country on a study visits when the peaceful protests began and have since remained in the country.
The Ghanaian MPs are Emmanuel Gyamfi, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, Thomas Ampem, Sylvester Tetteh and Mohammed Tuferu who found themselves in the midst of chaos as protesters besieged the Kenyan Parliament on Tuesday.
Ghanaians have mocked Sylvester Tetteh following the viral video in which he was alleged to be seeking safety as aided by some Kenyan officials.
Kenyan President William Ruto in a televised ‘state of the nation address’ called the protestors ‘ criminals’ and thanked the security for doing ‘their best’ to contain the situation.
