Four Ghanaian men have been reportedly apprehended by UK authorities over smuggling of cannabis.
Ghanaian men whose names are Adjei, Yeboah, Bonsu, and Baidoo—have been sentenced for their involvement in smuggling 1.5 tons of cannabis valued at £4.5 million.
The sentencing took place at Southwark Crown Court, where Adjei and Yeboah appeared and received sentences of four and five years, respectively. Bonsu and Baidoo, sentenced to seven and ten years, failed to attend court and are currently on the run.
The men were integral to each stage of the operation, carefully orchestrating the smuggling process until their eventual capture by law enforcement. Despite the successful convictions, the absconding of Bonsu and Baidoo has raised concerns, prompting UK authorities to intensify efforts to apprehend them.
