The driver, 38-year-old Abassou Fousseni, and his 48-year-old co-driver, Salisu Jallu, were questioned by authorities. Both denied knowledge of the illicit cargo, but the police gathered intelligence indicating the co-driver’s involvement in loading the ammunition. Fousseni was granted police enquiry bail to transport the passengers to their destination, while Jallu was detained to assist with the investigation.
